V & B GOLF Thorpeness April 20th 2005 Thank goodness for third time lucky ! After a very windy, wet and snow showers at Sheringham, our game at Thorpeness on 8th April had to be abandoned after two holes, due to torrential rain and flooded greens. We retired to the bar, and after an excellent meal went our separate ways, with a game rescheduled for April 20th. We were two short at the last minute to one illness and another having to rush her daughter to the hospital ! However, the weather was kind this time, sun hovering behind the clouds, so quite warm and no wind. Thorpeness was in excellent condition and the scores were very good. David Sears choosing a wildcard and picking number 3, Pat Edworthy, won by four points from Godfrey Camerilli and Pat Edworthy. So Pat had a 1st and 2nd !! Our meal of pork medallions and pecan pie was delicious, washed down with a good red wine. There is still time to book for Le Touquet. Otherwise we would love to see you all at Rookery Park on June 10th. Hasta la vista !! Vivienne
